Accessibility under the BFSG
As of
Accessibility statement under the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG)
Date of this statement: 5 September 2026
bee-pilot.io UG (haftungsbeschränkt) strives to make its digital offerings accessible in line with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and Directive (EU) 2019/882. This statement applies to the website www.bee-pilot.io.
Target conformance level
WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA, together with the technical requirements of EN 301 549.
How it is tested
Accessibility on this site is not sampled — it is tested automatically on every build, across every single page in every language; at the time of this statement that is 714 pages. A violation aborts the release. Tested are:
- axe-core against the WCAG 2.0 A/AA and WCAG 2.1 A/AA rule sets plus best practice
- Keyboard operation, by actually walking every reachable element: the skip link comes first, the order follows the document structure, and every element shows a visible focus indicator
- Rendering at 320 px width without horizontal scrolling
- Colour contrast of the design tokens against the AA thresholds, in both light and dark appearance
In addition, the site scores 100 in the accessibility category of Google Lighthouse (mobile).
Limits of this method
These statements rest on our own testing with automated tools. Honestly, that is not the same as testing by people:
- Automated testing finds some possible barriers, not all. Whether an alternative text describes the image meaningfully, or a label is understandable, it cannot judge.
- No assessment by an independent body has taken place.
- Testing with users of assistive technology is still outstanding.
We say so explicitly rather than claim a status we cannot evidence.
Known limitations
Some pages carry content taken over from the previous website. It meets the technical requirements but has not yet been revised linguistically.
Report a barrier
If you encounter a barrier or have a suggestion, write to us:
E-mail: support@bee-pilot.io
Please describe which page is concerned and which assistive technology you use. We reply within 14 days.
Enforcement procedure
