Bee-Pilot Call: choosing between a phone call and an in-app voice dialogue before starting the inspection

Your apiary calls you

Nobody operates a phone with gloves on and a frame in hand. So Bee-Pilot Call turns it around: you tap “Call now” once, put the phone away and talk through your headset. Bee-Pilot walks you colony by colony through the entire apiary, asks when something is missing, and writes it down. By the time you close the last lid, the whole apiary round is documented.

Inspection by phone call
  1. Tap “Call now”Bee-Pilot calls you within seconds.
  2. Pocket the phone — hands freeWith a headset you work completely hands-free.
  3. You talk — Bee-Pilot notes it downEvery observation is recorded automatically.

Phone calls in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The in-app voice dialogue works worldwide.

What needs attention today is at the top

Twenty colonies fit in your head. At eighty they stop fitting. The cockpit sorts by urgency, not by colony number.

A hive record that does not soften in the rain

A card under the lid lasts one summer. After that April’s pencil line is unreadable, and nobody can answer “when was the last treatment?”. Digitally, every inspection, every queen and every reading stays with the colony — with your own fields for whatever matters in your operation.

A photographed paper checklist whose values are read into the app

You prefer paper? Stay with it.

Some things simply work better on paper — and switching does not have to happen in a single day. Print the checklist, fill it in at the hive with a pencil, then photograph it. Bee-Pilot reads the values and assigns them to the right colony. Same evaluation, same history — only the route there is yours.

Every document of your beekeeping in one place

The treatment receipt sits in your mailbox, the comb photo in the camera roll, the lab report in the downloads folder. The file manager collects everything in one inbox — uploaded, dragged in, or forwarded as an attachment to forward@bee-pilot.io. bee-pilot.io then reads every document, suggests which colony or apiary it belongs to, and makes it findable by its content: a photo called IMG_7615.JPG turns up again as a brood comb with a queen cell.

Varroa: measure, classify, act in time

Treating by calendar means being too early for some colonies and too late for others. Bee-Pilot turns your board counts into an infestation level, shows a 14-day forecast and records every treatment with its effect. And the decisive part: mite pressure feeds straight into the colony’s assessment — a colony that stays clean without treatment becomes visible in your breeding values.

Beekeeper page with products and a QR code for the honey jar

Show who is behind your honey

The label shows a name — nobody learns more. A website of your own costs money, time and constant upkeep. Your beekeeper page is built instead from the data you already maintain: online in one evening, imprint and privacy policy drafted for you. The QR code goes on the label, and the bee-pilot.io beekeeper directory makes you findable when somebody nearby is looking for regional honey. The location of your colonies stays secret.
