New bee-pilot.io version released – right on time for the new beekeeping season
As the new beekeeping season begins, today, on 2026-03-11, we’re releasing a new version of bee-pilot.io. The platform has been expanded and improved in several key areas—with the goal of giving beekeepers even more overview, structure, and day-to-day support.
This version focuses on a completely new dashboard, significantly improved task management, a revised view of apiary sites, and the introduction of an open interface for connecting your own devices.
Central dashboard – everything at a glance
With the new version, bee-pilot.io now features a central dashboard for the first time. This is where the most important information about your beekeeping comes together—clearly laid out and available right after you log in.
Among other things, the dashboard shows you:
- upcoming tasks
- news from bee-pilot.io
- current notes from your beekeeping
- the status of your most recent inspections
- the traffic-light status of your colonies
This way, you can immediately see where action is needed and what’s currently important at your apiary sites—without having to search for long.
New task management with calendar and voice input
Another key focus of this version is the completely redesigned task management. Tasks can now be organized much more flexibly and managed with a clearer visual overview.
New features include a calendar view that lets you plan and structure tasks over time—whether they relate to a specific colony, an apiary site, or general work.
Especially practical: tasks can now be created directly via voice input. bee-pilot.io uses modern AI technology to automatically turn spoken notes into structured tasks.
Especially when working at the apiary, this saves time and makes documentation much easier.
Open interface for your own devices
With this version, bee-pilot.io also introduces an open interface. This makes it possible to connect external hardware such as hive scales, sensors, or other systems directly to the platform.
Devices can be registered by manufacturers or technically experienced users. Afterwards, they can be linked to a bee-pilot.io account using a simple claim code.
The transmitted readings can then be displayed and analyzed directly within the platform—in the context of your apiary sites and colonies.
This gradually turns bee-pilot.io into an open platform for modern beekeeping, where data from different sources comes together in a meaningful way.
New view of apiary sites
The apiary site list has also been completely redesigned. The new view provides much more clarity and shows at a glance what’s currently important at a location.
bee-pilot.io uses AI-supported analysis of your previous inspections to provide notes on the current condition of an apiary site.
This helps you see more quickly:
- which colonies need special attention
- where inspections last took place
- how the current condition of an apiary site is developing
This makes it easier to plan apiary visits and helps you keep an overview across multiple locations.
Ready for the new season
With these new features, bee-pilot.io becomes even more of a central platform for organizing, documenting, and analyzing your beekeeping.
Our goal remains unchanged: support beekeepers in their day-to-day work—with clear tools, modern technology, and features that truly help in practice.
We wish you a great start to the new season and look forward to your feedback on the new version.
