Creating and managing an apiary

An apiary is the place where your colonies are located. Here’s how to create a new apiary and what becomes available to you afterward.

Creating a new apiary

Open Home and tap Create apiary. Give it a name and, optionally, a short description. Next, set its position — either via address search (similar to Google Maps) or directly using your current GPS location.

What becomes available afterward

Once an apiary has been created, the following features are available to you:

• Create hive stands, so you can place colonies on them later.
• Weather for that exact location, right in the overview.
• Start inspection, to carry out an inspection for the entire apiary.
• Calendar, showing only the tasks that belong to this apiary.

Editing or deleting an apiary

You can change the name, description, and position at any time from the apiary overview. If an apiary is no longer needed, you can also delete it there.

Where to find this in the app

Open Home — there you’ll see the list of all your apiaries as well as the button to create a new one.
