Integrations — your own devices and external providers

Under Settings → Integrations you connect everything that delivers readings to bee-pilot.io without you typing them in by hand. There are two cards there, and they address different situations.

Your own connection

This card is for devices you own and connect yourself — your own scale, a weather station, a microcontroller project. You get access to our open interface and send your readings straight to it. How you collect them is up to you.

Every user sees this card, and it is also the path for devices you added using a claim code.

Honeylink

This card connects your existing Honeylink account to bee-pilot.io. You need no technical knowledge for it: you enter an access key from your Honeylink portal once, assign your scales to the matching hive stands, and from then on bee-pilot.io fetches the values by itself.

What both have in common

No matter which route a reading comes in by — it ends up in a custom field on a hive stand and is available to you there just like a value you entered yourself. The assignment follows the same rule as well: a device belongs to the hive stand, not to a single colony. If a new colony moves onto the same stand, the readings automatically apply to that colony without you changing anything.

Removing a connection

Every connection can be fully disconnected. The readings taken over up to that point are kept — what ends is the retrieval, not your history.
