Visitor numbers of your beekeeper page

Whether the QR code on the honey jar is worth it can be seen from the visitor numbers. They are displayed in two places: in the sidebar of the editor under Visits and as a separate card on your dashboard.

What You See

• Visits today
• Visits this week
• Visits this month
• Visits this year
• Landing page active since – the date of your first publication, not the last one

How Counting Works

A visitor counts once per day, no matter how often they open or refresh the page that day. Otherwise, every refresh would inflate the number and provide no useful information.

To ensure this works without tracking, only an encrypted fingerprint of the visitor’s internet address is stored, which looks different each day. The address itself is not stored, and the fingerprint expires after two days. It is only sufficient for the question “has this person been here today” – and for nothing else.

What Is Not Counted

• Views while your page is offline or the subscription has expired
• Views of a draft that you are looking at in the editor

What You Will Not Find Here

The origin of visitors, duration of stay, click paths, or devices. That would be true web tracking with all the legal implications – and the purpose of this number is different: it is meant to tell you whether your label is being read.
