Privacy Policy for your Beekeeper Page

Every published beekeeper page needs its own privacy policy alongside the imprint. This is not a bee-pilot.io setting but a legal requirement: you are the controller for your visitors’ data (Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR), and you owe them the information under Art. 13 GDPR.

bee-pilot.io’s own privacy policy does not cover this — it applies to bee-pilot.io, not to your page.

You will find the section in the side panel under Data protection.

How it is created

One click on Create privacy policy with AI is enough. The AI writes it from two sources:

  • Who is responsible – name, address and contact details from your imprint. So fill in the imprint first, otherwise the controller is missing.
  • What your page actually does – the app reads from your blocks which data this involves. If you show the foraging radius as a map, the weather at your locations, or your page is findable through the search chat, it is in there; if you do not show it, it is not.

The map and the weather icons are fetched by our server and delivered to your visitors from there. Their IP address is therefore not passed on to Google or to the weather provider — which is also why your page needs no consent and no cookie banner for them.

That is why the text describes your page specifically rather than some page in general. You can edit it freely afterwards — from then on your version applies.

When your page changes

If you later add a block that processes new data, the old policy no longer fits. The app notices this and points it out in the data protection dialog. Simply have it created again.

Where visitors find it

In the footer of your page, right next to your imprint — as Privacy policy of the beekeeper. bee-pilot.io’s own legal texts are deliberately placed in a separate line below, so it stays clear which text belongs to whom.

Responsibility

The app helps you with structure and completeness, but you are responsible for accuracy — as also stated in the terms of use for the beekeeper page. Read the text through carefully before publishing.
