Understanding and setting up hive stands

A hive stand is a numbered spot within an apiary — think of it like a spot on a bench or pallet where exactly one hive can be placed.

Creating a hive stand

Open your apiary’s overview and tap Add hive stand. The new hive stand starts out empty and gets a running number and a position within the apiary.

Arranging hive stands

You can adjust the order of the hive stands at any time, for example by dragging them, so the arrangement in the app matches the actual layout on site.

What you see at a glance

In the apiary overview, each hive stand immediately shows you whether — and which — colony currently occupies it, including the health traffic light and queen info, if available. An empty hive stand is clearly marked as free and ready for a new colony.

Where to find this in the app

Open an apiary via Home and switch to the hive stand view in the overview.
