Configuring Varroa thresholds per location

The thresholds determine, from which colony infestation percentage onward, a colony is assigned to which level (1–5). Since infestation affects colonies differently depending on the season, you configure the thresholds separately for each location and season.

Opening the thresholds

On a location’s overview screen, tap Actions and select Varroa → Configure threshold.

Seasons

At the top, use the tabs to select the season for which you want to set thresholds. Each tab shows you the configured date range along with an icon indicating whether the configuration for that season is already complete. Tap the gear icon to open the yearly timeline, where you can adjust the date boundaries of the seasons.

Setting levels

For the selected season, you define up to which colony infestation percentage a colony falls into which level — the last level is deliberately left open-ended at the top. Use Reset and Save to discard or apply your changes.

Using the AI suggestion

If you’re unsure which values make sense for your location, Determine values via AI can help: the app suggests suitable thresholds based on the location’s coordinates. Use Apply suggestion to insert the suggestion, or Get new suggestion to have it recalculated.
