Appearance: Changing the Color Scheme and Language

Under Settings → Appearance, you decide how bee-pilot.io looks and which language the app speaks to you in.

Choosing a color scheme

You can choose between three options:

• Automatic: the app follows your device’s setting and switches between light and dark automatically.
• Light: the app always stays in light mode.
• Dark: the app always stays in dark mode.

Just tap the option you want — the change is applied immediately.

Changing the app’s language

Also under Appearance, you choose the app’s display language. All menus, buttons, and labels will then be shown in the language you picked.

Important: your own data isn’t translated

When you change the language, only the app’s fixed interface texts change. Anything you’ve entered yourself as free text — for example the name of a bee race or a hive type you created under Reference Data — stays exactly as you entered it. That’s because these are your own entries, which the app can’t translate automatically.
