Imprint for your Beekeeper Page
Every published beekeeper page needs an imprint. This is not a bee-pilot.io setting but a legal requirement (§ 5 DDG) — and without a complete imprint a page cannot be published.
The obligation does not depend on prices: it applies as soon as you act commercially. A page presenting your apiary, advertising your honey and inviting people to get in touch is exactly that — even without a single price.

The Guided Process
The assistant asks for exactly the details that apply to you. First you choose how you operate:
- Small business – name, address, contact
- Registered company – additionally company name and commercial register number
Then come address, country and your contact details. You can fill in existing information with Fill from my profile.
Two Ways to Reach You
Besides the e-mail address, the law requires a second way of reaching you quickly and directly (§ 5 (1) no. 2 DDG). Either one is enough: a phone number or a link to a contact form. The e-mail address alone is not sufficient.
Value Added Tax
Two separate questions that are often confused:
- VAT ID – only to be stated if you have one. Within Germany you do not need one; the tax number is sufficient and does not belong in the imprint.
- Small business scheme under § 19 UStG – a checkbox of its own. Only tick it if you actually use the scheme. Having no VAT ID does not in itself make you a small business.

- Supervisory authority, if required for your trade
- Responsible for the content under § 18 (2) MStV – your name by default
What Comes of It
From your details the app generates a finished imprint text in the usual structure (“Details according to § 5 DDG”). Visitors open it via the link in the footer of your page.
Read the text through carefully before publishing. The app helps you with structure and completeness, but you are responsible for the accuracy of the details — as also stated in the terms of use for the beekeeper page.
Address
An imprint requires an address at which legal documents can be served; a P.O. box is not sufficient. That address is therefore publicly visible. If you do not want to show your private address, the usual route is a business address or a serviceable address via a provider — not leaving the details out.

That does not belong in the imprint but in a privacy policy of its own. You need one for every published page as well — see the article “Privacy Policy for your Beekeeper Page”.
