Findability, SEO, and Languages
Whether and where your page is found is determined by two separate switches. You can find both in the page panel under Discoverability.
Discoverable on Google
By default off. When this switch is off, your page explicitly asks search engines not to include it – it will only be accessible via the direct link or your QR code.
If you turn it on, the AI automatically generates an SEO title and a meta description from your page’s content at the push of a button. These are the two lines that appear in the Google search results. You can overwrite both freely – and you should read them: they are often the first sentence a customer sees from you.
Discoverable in the Beekeeper Search Chat
A separate switch, independent of Google. When it’s on, the public search chat bee-pilot.io Compass can suggest you as a match when someone is looking for beekeepers in your area. Additionally, your page must be published and have a specified region.
This comes with a second, smaller switch: Show Map in Search Chat. It decides whether the overview map of your region is included in the chat results. Here too, it’s worth noting that it shows the rough center of the region, never a specific location.
Seven Languages, Automatically
With every publication, your free-text and AI-generated texts are automatically translated into all supported languages: English, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and French. German is always the source.
By default, a visitor sees the language of their browser and can switch at the top right. If a translation is not yet available for a language, the German text will be displayed – with a brief note about it, instead of silently.
Mandatory information in the imprint is not translated: name and address remain as they are officially.
