Additional terms for the bookable add-on feature

1. Subject matter
The beekeeper landing page is a public website that can be viewed without logging in at bee-pilot.io/p/, which the beekeeper creates and publishes themselves using a modular editor in the app. It serves in particular as proof of origin (e.g., via a QR code on the honey label) and for presenting the beekeeping business.
2. Requirements for publication
Publishing a landing page requires: an active, paid app subscription; explicit consent to these additional terms and to the separate consent under Section 17; at least one completed module; and—if an offer module contains a price—complete Impressum details for the landing page.
3. Responsibility for content
3.1 The beekeeper is solely responsible for all content published on their landing page, including free text, images, price information, offer descriptions, and the Impressum, as well as for its legal classification (e.g., small business exemption scheme, price indication law, and, where applicable, distance selling and consumer protection law for sales to end customers).
3.2 Through the landing page, bee-pilot does not become a party to any purchases or other transactions that a visitor concludes directly with the beekeeper outside the platform.
4. Assurance of image rights
The beekeeper warrants that they hold the necessary usage and publication rights to all images they upload as part of the landing page and that they do not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or personal rights. This warranty applies uniformly to all images uploaded as part of the landing page.
5. Usage rights to the beekeeper’s content
5.1 The beekeeper grants bee-pilot a non-exclusive, worldwide right—limited to the duration of the active subscription and/or the publication of the landing page—to store, reproduce, make publicly accessible, and edit the content they post on the landing page (texts, images, metrics, offers)—in particular by machine-translating into other languages, cropping and scaling images, and creating SEO titles and descriptions.
5.2 This right of use also includes displaying the title, description, header image, region, and distance in Compass (Part B) result cards, provided the beekeeper has enabled the relevant visibility toggles.
5.3 When the landing page is deactivated or deleted, this right of use ends for future displays; result cards already shown in Compass may be updated with a technically reasonable delay.
6. AI-generated content and translations
6.1 Content suggested by bee-pilot via AI—free-text drafts, an Impressum draft, offer descriptions, unit price suggestions, summaries of key metrics, SEO texts, and translations into other languages—are non-binding drafts.
6.2 The beekeeper is required to review these drafts before publishing. By publishing, they assume responsibility for the respective content, including where it is an automatic translation into a language they are not familiar with.
6.3 The automatically generated Impressum text is an automated compilation based on the information provided by the beekeeper. It does not constitute legal advice; the beekeeper alone is responsible for the accuracy of the underlying information.
7. Automatically derived metrics and trust signals
Displays such as inspection intensity, years of experience, or operating method are automatically calculated or derived by bee-pilot based on data recorded by the beekeeper in the app, in part heuristically. They do not constitute a review, certification, or independent quality statement by bee-pilot. The beekeeper checks these displays for accuracy before publishing and is responsible to visitors for their meaningfulness.
8. Indemnification
The beekeeper indemnifies bee-pilot against all third-party claims based on the content they have entered or published on the landing page, including the costs of necessary legal defense (e.g., statutory attorney and court fees).
9. Review by bee-pilot (automated review process)
9.1 After publication, an automated system reviews the landing page content retroactively (asynchronous AI pre-review). The page is accessible immediately upon publication; the review then runs in the background. In the editor, the review status is shown via a traffic light: yellow (review in progress), green (approved), red (flagged).
9.2 If the page is flagged, bee-pilot automatically takes it offline and informs the beekeeper by email about the flag and the reason. The beekeeper may object to the flag; bee-pilot will review the objection and communicate the result.
9.3 The review is performed on a best-effort basis; there is no guarantee of complete detection of unlawful or inaccurate content.
9.4 Third parties who consider a published landing page unlawful may report this to bee-pilot at support@bee-pilot.io. bee-pilot reviews incoming reports and, where required by law, informs the reporter of the outcome of the review.
9.5 Whether and to what extent the exemptions for micro-enterprises under Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) apply to bee-pilot must be assessed separately and is not prejudged by this.
10. The slug
10.1 The platform-wide unique slug chosen by the beekeeper (bee-pilot.io/p/
10.2 After deletion of the landing page or resetting it to factory settings, the approved slug remains blocked for 90 days and is available exclusively to the original creator for reuse during this period; it will not be assigned to third parties during this time. After the 90 days, the slug becomes available again to all users, without the original creator having any claim to the continuation of the reservation.
11. QR code, subscription end, and deactivation
11.1 The QR code printed on labels and other marketing materials links to the landing page address. If the subscription ends or the landing page is deactivated, a code that has already been printed will lead nowhere; bee-pilot is not liable for any costs incurred as a result for already printed labels or other marketing materials.
11.2 Publication of the landing page ends automatically when the subscription ends. Since the time of contract termination in the case of ordinary cancellation is known to the beekeeper or determined by them, no separate prior notice by bee-pilot is required.
11.3 Regardless of this, bee-pilot may take the landing page offline at any time and without prior notice in the event of a breach of these additional terms or the general terms of use (Part A).
12. Availability and changes to the scope of features
The landing page feature is provided on a best-effort basis within technical possibilities, without any availability guarantee (no SLA). bee-pilot may change, replace, or discontinue individual modules, features, or display formats if there is an objective reason and the beekeeper can reasonably be expected to have an equivalent way to use it.
13. Retention and deletion after the contract ends
After the subscription ends, the landing page content and all version snapshots remain stored in the user account for up to 90 days and can be reactivated by the beekeeper by taking out a new subscription; after that, they are permanently deleted. The beekeeper may request early permanent deletion at any time.
14. Changes to these additional terms
If a new version of these additional terms is issued, the beekeeper must consent again the next time they open the landing page editor. Until renewed consent, a landing page that has already been published remains online; further editing or republishing is only possible after consent. If the beekeeper permanently does not consent to the new version, bee-pilot may deactivate the landing page feature for that beekeeper.
15. Relationship to the general terms of use
These additional terms apply alongside the app’s general terms of use (Part A). In the event of conflicts, they take precedence for use of the landing page feature.
16. Privacy notices for the landing page
16.1 Weather data displayed on the landing page is read exclusively from values already stored; a page view does not trigger an external weather API call. Raw location coordinates of the apiaries do not leave the server; for the region map, only the coarse region name chosen by the beekeeper is resolved via the Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) geocoding service.
16.2 The visitor counter records, per address and per day, a daily-salted hash of the IP address, which automatically expires after two days; no visit log, origin, or dwell time of individual visitors is recorded.
16.3 The region map displayed on the landing page is loaded as an image from Google Maps, which transmits the visitor’s IP address to Google. Before the map is loaded, the landing page shows a separate consent notice for this (in line with the approach used for Compass, Part B Section 10); the map is only loaded after the visitor consents. Without this consent, no map is displayed. Further details are governed by the current privacy policy.
16.4 Further details, in particular regarding processors and any third-country transfers in connection with the landing page, can be found in the privacy policy.
17. Consent to publish personal data
Before the first publication, bee-pilot obtains the beekeeper’s explicit consent for their profile picture and/or photos, their free texts, and the region they selected to be displayed publicly and without login. bee-pilot points out that this content may be indexed by search engines if the beekeeper enables the relevant visibility toggles. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by deactivating or deleting the landing page, with effect for the future.
