Assigning and finding documents
A document in the inbox usually belongs to a colony or an apiary. Once it is filed there, it shows up there again – in the colony’s hive card or at the apiary.
The assignment suggestion
If a card carries a green tick, a suggestion is available. It comes out of what is inside the document:
- the QR code of an apiary site, if it is on the photo – that is the most unambiguous piece of information,
- the place of capture from the image data of the photo,
- a readable site number on the hive or on a note,
- the recognised content, if it mentions the name of one of your apiaries or colonies.
Tap Assign or Move. The dialogue opens with the suggestion already selected, and the reason is shown with it. If it fits, you confirm it. If the suggestion points only to an apiary, you can additionally pick a colony in the same dialogue.
A suggestion is only a suggestion: nothing is filed until you confirm.
Assigning without a suggestion
If there is none, you pick apiary and colony in the dialogue yourself. There are two shortcuts for that:
- Several at once: select cards in the inbox and assign them together.
- Dragging: on the computer you can drag a card directly onto an apiary or a colony in the right-hand column.
Assigned to the wrong place? Move takes it somewhere else – or back into the inbox.
Finding it again
The Search tab searches all your documents, including the ones already assigned. It searches the file name and the recognised content. That is why you find a photo called IMG_7615.JPG by what can be seen on it.
A period can be typed in directly, for example September or September 26. For anything more precise there are filters behind Filter for file type, apiary, colony and date.
Seeing where something is
In the Apiaries & colonies tab, every row states how many documents are filed there. That way you see at a glance where something is – and where there is nothing yet.
